Sunshine and Stripes!

Hey Guys!

The weather has been pretty nice this week... finally wearing some skirts again! Let's just hope it stays this way. Groundhog Day is next week so I guess we'll find out!

Although January can be kind of a dreary month, staying stylish and looking good is one the best ways to keep your spirits up! I'm diggin the blazers I keep seeing around.

Another hot trend now is stripes.

Here's Miss Jessica Schmelia (with her new carrot top 'do) in some stripes and some fashion glasses.
And here's Jessica with Learning Leader Erica, both in their stylish stripes.

After school, Erica Liercke and I decided to have a little fashion shoot of our own. This is one of my outfits to show how to keep the all black looking trendy.

I wore :
Black turtleneck dress: Gift from Joanne :)
Long Vest with Lace back: Nordstrom
Lace Tights: forever 21
Boots: Bakers
Jewelry: Nordstrom & Lucky Brand
Glasses: Vintage! - Erica's mom
My inspiration was sort of hippie/gipsy.. I curled my hair and wore a band around it and minimal makeup.
lace tights are a great way to add some pizazz to your outfit and jewelry adds the flair!

Robinson High School Fashion Show

Oh my!
I just finished a crazy day doing hair and make up for over 70 girls and boys at Robinson High School in Fairfax. This show was put on by the juniors and seniors of Robinson’s fashion department.
The theme was childhood board games such as: Candyland, Jumangi, Battleship, Clue, etc. About 20 fellow design team members and myself headed to Robinson today around 1pm. We were paired up in twos and each team was assigned a theme. Each theme had about eight models to do hair and make up for. I was paired with Erica Liercke and we had the Battleship theme. We did back to back hair and make up until 6pm. Erica did this lovely braided, side-curl look. And I did this smokey eye, Kristen Stewert look.
If that wasn’t tiring enough for Erica and I we then packed up our bags at 6 and headed straight to Alexandria to do hair and make up for The Little Theater of Alexandria play, “Scapino”. Erica and I have been working all week on this play and may be working on it for the next four weeks. We are getting to know the cast members very well and having a great time on our car rides!

New ‘dos and New shoes!

This week we had a few great new "do's" at PMTS!
Bobby added some new orange streaks and a fun style!

JoJo is looking glamerous with her lightened color and beautiful updo!

This week, I have been getting a lot of compliments on my shoes, so I wanted to talk about them!
They are called Tom's Shoes and they can be found at http://tomsshoes.com/, Nordstom's and other department stores.

These shoes are awesome for multiple reasons:
#1- They are totally cute and can still give off that funky but professional and put-together vibe, when worn with skinny jeans.
#2-They are really comfortable. They are canvas, with leather on the inside and a decent arch support.
#3-They are pretty inexpensive. They run about $40-$60.
#4-This is by far the best reason. When you buy a pair of these fashionable shoes, they donate one pair to a child in need. It's called one for one, and you can read about it on thier website! So check em out! When you buy a pair, they send you a flag to take a picture with you and your friends wearing your Tom's Shoes!!
